Semi-Annual Impact Report 2026
We’re halfway through 2026, which means it’s time to take stock. Over the past six months, we’ve once again achieved a great deal together with the HackShield movement. Alongside private partners, municipalities, schools, the police and, of course, our Cyber Agents, we’ve taken new steps towards a digitally resilient generation. We developed new educational content, strengthened partnerships both in the Netherlands and internationally, and gained new insights into how we can help children grow up safely and confidently in the digital world.
The first half of this year has been all about deepening our impact. Through research, practical experience and collaboration, we are gaining an increasingly clear understanding of what children need to grow up digitally resilient, confident and engaged. These insights help us continue to develop HackShield and align even more closely with the digital world children grow up in.
In our Semi-Annual Impact Report, we take you through the key developments from the first half of 2026. You can read more about insights from our research into digital resilience, how Samen Sterk Online has grown from a pilot into a nationally available program, and our new classroom quest on online grooming.
We also look ahead to the continued development of HackShield, new themes such as AI and talent development, and an international movement that continues to grow. Today, 45% of our daily players live outside the Netherlands.
On behalf of the entire HackShield team, we would like to thank everyone who contributes to this movement. Thanks to your involvement, trust and enthusiasm, we can continue building a generation that safely and actively contributes to a positive digital society.
